Hello from Iraq

I just wanted to say hello to everyone and see how you guys are doing. Things are doing good here I am not sure if you guys are aware of my location I am at Camp Taji which is about 20 miles north of Baghdad. The violence isnt too bad here we have had only one IED strike as opposed to the last tour we had one everyday. The weather is getting pretty warm as the temperature is getting to 100. Another thing we have that I didnt have last time is we have a burger king and a subway here so when the food at the chow hall isnt good I can atleast walk and get some burger king or subway. I dont go outside the wire much on this tour. In the beginning I volunteerd to do some other work to try and limit or eliminate the enemy threats. So I am a Crew specialist or can be considerd a company level EWO (electronic warfare officer). I also do some intel stuff which is pretty cool. I do the best that I can to keep the guys aware of whats going on out in sector and so the things that happened to me the last time doesnt happen to these guys this time. We live in these little trailers and were able to get internet connection in them. So I try and talk to Jaime and the kids as often as I can. Using the AIM video the kids can see and talk to me. Jaime seems to be doing good she is suppost to be going for an ultrasound on the 20th. Other than that not a whole lot going on with me we have been told that we should be out of here by the end of August or beginning of September and home sometime between mid September and early October.

Take care everyone
Scott
